Thanks boof, a real pleasure to deal with. After having some terrible experiences with a certain couple of coaches, it's refreshing to be able to deal with someone who doesn't play any of the stupid games. Upfront from the beginning about who's tradeable and who's not, and more than happy to be flexible to work a deal. As for my trade, well it's a pretty big one in terms of my team. Prismall is a personal favourite, and I think he'll get a good go under Jimmy Hird, but he has some gaps in his game so the real test will be whether or not he can develop more to compensate for them. Macaffer is another player I really like, and his late season form was amazing, but he faded throughout the finals series. Whether that's just a temporary thing or whether he'll be released into a more attacking role in the future will determine his scoring. Petterd I've never been a personal fan of. Looked alright in the couple of good games he played early on in the year, but how will he slot back into the Melbourne forward line now comprising of Watts, Jurrah, Wona and Bruce? Harris will score well. Behind Rischitelli and Ablett in the midfield, meaning he won't cop a hard tag, and I think his in and under work will be very good. Krakouer is a bit of an unknown. Liked him a while back when he had a good season for Port across half back, but for whatever reason he hasn't gone on with it. Change of scenery, who knows? Anthony is a pocket rocket. The real life Kangaroos are developing quite a formidable midfield unit, and I see him having a big role in that for years to come. McGlynn is another player I've liked for a while, going back to his Hawthorn days. Showed a fantastic tendancy to score highly with limited touches due to his hardness and tackling. |

Oh fuck off. I'm sure most coaches would attest that you are close to if not the worst coach in terms of expecting unrealistic things, playing games, and being horrible to deal with, and are the least flexible. You're in no place to criticise, no offence. Get off your fucking high horse, you're not the 'god of traders' ethically, as you seem to think you are. Don't mean to be a prick, but if you're ripping into other coaches (probably me) about that, it needed to be said. |

Hahaha I actually like stife and RLL as people, but I definitly don't enjoy trading with either for the reasons outlined above. Agree with what stife said though. I like the deal for footscray, altho harris won't be a very good scorer. Even in his best yr at north he only averaged low 80s. He's one of those good player/poor scorer types. |

Mind u 80s is still solid. But that's assuming at 29 or 30 next yr he can recapture his career best form, and he has never been tagged. B harvey, shannon grant, adam simpson and daniel wells always got the tag attention. |

Wasn't actually referring to you at all Stife. The coaches who it was aimed at will know exactly who I'm talking about. In fact I probably worded it badly, was more talking about unethical things rather than just the usual games. You've always been a little bit of a pain in the arse, as am I, but I have learnt to deal with that over time. All in all, I still find you okay to trade with (even though many frustrations during) and we can usually come to some kind of conclusion. Once we're on the same page and have all the cards on the table, we generally go alright I thought? I do take offence to one thing from that post though. What have I ever done that's unethical? I've played mind games and all that, but never anything unethical. In my mind, there is a massive difference between trading strategies and game, and things that are unethical. We have a lot of similar ratings of players and generally go for the same type of player making trading hard between us. Always rated you as a bloke, and don't mind trading with you at all. Just wish you didn't have so many players I wanted as they're INCREDIBLY hard to get ![]() Oh and for the record, Harris' best average for a season is 93.8 ppg. But agree with you anyway, expect him to average 80's, which is very good for a bench player. |

What constitutes unethical? We're not gassing jews in a hot house, we're trading players in an AFL based fantasy game. |

Unethical in terms of this game: Making an offer then retracting it Agreeing to a deal then backing out and a few other things, just ask me if you want more details Adolf. |

People need to toughen up. We know it's dissappointing if someone makes an offer then backs out, part of the game. It's happened to everyone whos been here for a while. Whats even more dissappointing is if you make an offer, someone doesn't accept/answer, and then a day or two later accepts and then gives you the "unethical" bullshit. Offers with stoney are valid til I sign out of msn or log off AFFL. If the line ain't signed on the spot, there's every chance I may opt to not do it the next time I'm on (unless otherwise stated). Some call it "unethical", I call it ensuring ppl learn not to fuck around and play games and string you along saying "add something small" bullshit. When an offers on the table, either accept or decline. Failure to do either means there's no reason the offer will still be honoured next time. |
