28 for a young 80 point KPD = big win for the Cats who's defense is looking pretty farking good.Nice work Stoney |

You're right he was drafted mature aged. He's 24. Thing I like about him is he reads the play well and takes alot of marks off opposition kicks = good scoring for a KPD. Not many KPD under 25 who have that appeal, given Lake and S Fisher are the best 2, and are both 28. Edited by Stoney, Sep 29 2010, 12:06 PM.

People massively over rate age when it comes to KPDs, they generally don't hit their straps fully until about 27 or 28. I'm not the biggest fan of Thompson, but would have personally paid more than 28 for him, purely for on-trade value. I mean how many young, tradeable, good scoring KPDs are out there that are tradeable? |

lummas you asked me if 28 for sdt was a good deal and I said you'd break even/lose if it was 20 for sdt...you agreed? why did you do it then, and add a pick haha! |

Disagree I'll give sdt to anyone who gives me a top 20 in return. If anyone has seriously researched this draft, they'd tell you that there are at least 20 better prospects (not necesarily kpd) who are better than a middle aged defender who's averages 70s. Obviously you don't know much about the draft, so get urself a top 20 pick and I'll give you mr thompson. |

Good, because I've done a mock draft over the weekend, and with the GC u/17 (Toy, Weller, Smith, Matera etc), as well as the natural top 15... this year's AFFL top 20 is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. FWIW I'm still keen on our first rounder bet re - Geelong finishing in the top 4 next season. |
