Okay so it seems like we've got a lot of people for and against this topic, so what better way to properly gauge public opinion than to make a poll.

Here it is! Enjoy!

No. You want to keep them, then stick with them, or trade them.

Definite no for me. And any loser who responds like a 5 year old girl with "yessir", "yessums" or "yasou" should be ignored. taking the tally to 4-1 in favour of it not going ahead.

If there is some rule in place which says that if a club delists a player mid-season, they therefore relinquish the right to later pick that player up.

For example, say I had a rookie on my senior list that I wanted to delist mid-season to make space, and they later become a decent player, I shouldn't be allowed to pick that player up post-season.

If something like that came into play, I'd be happy.

ok. now have to think of how delisted players get picked up by other clubs? are we just going to go reverse the ladder say at the split round and clubs who wish to participate can draft in players?

No.

I'm of the view that once a player gets delisted, they CANNOT be picked up by another team until the next draft. All delisted players can just go into the draft pool at the end of the year.

We SHOULDN'T have a mid-season draft IMO.

Completely agree with d2t. This wasn't about a mid season draft (which personally I think is uneeded and will be disruptive to trading. It'll be such a poor draft with such shit players in it- just wait for the real drafts IMO.

Yep. I'd say almost 90% of players cut will be those who aren't currently on a list anyways. Cutting these players will also cause less confusion with list sizes and what not.

Just make sure we keep a record of who we cut in a thread somewhere.
