Well, in my case my pick 1 and 2 would become 11 & 12, giving for example, the previous pick 12 a boost to pick 10, but pick 13 gets no boost, doesn't seem fair. Also, 1/2 to 11/12 is different to 35/36 to 45/46 right.
There's not a lot we can do about that unfortunately.

It was mentioned before that there should be a penalty of points in matches next season but I really don't think that's appropriate.

I think a draft position penalty is most appropriate and I'm happy to agree with RLL on the 10 position penalty for the first 2 picks. I'm also happy to agree with 16 position but feel it might be a bit too harsh although gives all other teams a 1 pick upgrade rather than just the next 10.
But it's more about a penalty for those who break the rule rather than a reward for those who don't.

With regards to pick 1 being a bigger penalty than pick 35... Yes, that's true, but the same can be said for having your pick skipped 13 spots which happened to me. If I'd missed pick 60 it wouldn't have made much of a difference to me but as it was it really hurt.
So all I can say is if you have early picks play it safe to make sure you keep them. Delist your players early and submit a preference list just in case. The higher your picks, the more care you need to take!

I think it has to be round > 10. Also you need to be clear about timing, and how that could lead to greater punishment.

Yeah we've got a year basically to get new rules in place but I think for this offence that this penalty is appropriate.

Some punishment needs to occur.

what if we make the rule. That every pick gets moved back 5 pick selections. This then wont totally disadvantage you if your in Stife's situation of having picks 1+2, as he still gets 2 top 10 picks, but its a harsh enough penalty that everyone will abide by it, and get their teams up to date, and in on time.

thoughts.

Or if your pick is in the top 10 moved back 4 places, 11-20 moved back 6 places, 21-30 moved back 8 places, 31-40 moved back 10 places, 41-50 moved back 12 places, 51-60 moved back 14 places, 61+ moved back 16 places

Or something like that, so its a staggered penalty and more fair than someone with lower picks not losing as much as someone with higher picks.

And yes, Nick Maxwell is a pretty elite defender in this game.

Both are a massive difference in quality of player available.
You can't penalise me more just because of the picks I have.
It's the same with missing a pick because you're not there to take it. We don't have different penalties for that.

I agree.

1st 2 picks back 10 spots seems a fair penalty.
It's tough enough but not too tough in my opinion

Too late now but I think Pies idea was easily the best and fairest idea.
