You heard right, Jack Macrae is on the table. Is he the best player in the competition? Absolutely not, but nor is Tom Mitchell. Is he the best scorer over the first seven rounds? Absolutely. He's currently 5 ppg ahead of Tom Mitchell, and 9-10 ppg ahead of the third best mid. He's got a low of 98 this season, and he was tagged through that/ Yes, 7 games isn't a huge sample, but given his numbers before this - him taking the next step isn't unreasonable - especially when his last 8 last season went at 117. So, why do you want him? He's not damaging enough to get the regular tag, but the two times he has this season he's scored 98 and 189. Beveridge said on Saturday that a major issue with him has been his slow season starts - so the evidence suggests he gets better as the season goes on. And, he racks up every stat - so his point source is secure. Why am I advertising him? It's not because I don't rate him. I drafted him to AFFL and held him for four years. I love him. And I genuinely believe he's capable of 125+. I just think that's wasted in my side right now, when, in an open AFFL season - he could be the point of difference for you. Hit me up |
