Adds an element of luck as much as it adds an element of strategy.

That said, I'm not violently opposed to a midseason lodgment, so if that's what the majority wants, I'll leave it.
Strategy = educated luck.

LIST SIZES (take two)

So it's safe to say that the previous announcement regarding list sizes wasn't a popular one, but we've listened and we'll be staying with our current list sizes. That means a maximum of 40 senior players and a maximum of 35 senior players at list lodgement.

We will also be bringing in the first ever mid-season draft! We're throwing it over to you guys for ideas as to how it should be run. Whether you have your own suggestion, you're happy with one of the suggestions that have already been made or you're keen for something different - let us know!
Just bumping this onto the new page for anyone who's missed it.

I'm not for a list lodgement as such, but more a designated cut off point ie "at 8:00pm AEST ddmmyy picks will be allocated based on your list numbers. If your are at 40, no picks. If you're at 35, up to 5 rounds of picks". Really against being able to delist a player once the draft has started. Risk v reward is buyers choice.

List lodgement or designated cut-off is essentially the same thing... If you want to participate, you need to have room on your list (i.e. delist player prior to a certain ddmmyy).

Agree that delisting players mid draft is less preferred.

Fair point....long story short, I'd like to see it run the same as the PSD....and as a serperate point, I don't think you should be able to put players on your rookie list in the MSD, that's just for the Rookie Draft IMO.
