POLICE are seeking witnesses to the theft of a unique $600,000 Falcon Sedan from an auto repair workshop in Collingwood St, Osborne Park. The car, which is a red 1971 Phase III GT HO Falcon Sedan registration number 71 HO, is valued in excess of $600,000 and is a unique collector’s item within Australia. The car also has distinctive 15-inch Bathurst Globe mag wheels. Overnight on Monday 5 November 2007, unknown offenders gained entry to J & M Caporale Auto Body Repairs by forcing the padlock on the front gates and the office doors to the premises. Once inside, the offenders moved a number of vehicles in order to gain access to the car. These vehicles were driven out through the front roller doors which face onto Collingwood Street, and parked down the side of the premises. These include a Rolls Royce Stretch Limousine, a late model Holden GTS Monaro valued at $100,000 and a Honda Odyssey. They have also moved a forklift that was parked against the roller door, and pushed a second Rolls Royce away to gain access to the targeted car. Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. |

Insurance job maybe????...... a $600k insurance policy makes people think differently.... Ive always wondered what the difference between a $350k and $600k version of the same model car is...... (apart from $250k, which is still a house) Hmmmm take policy buy a 100k GT and pour half a mil into getting it perfect wtf!!!!! sorry I just cant understand it Although 'work' vehicles are devalued to the Tax Dept. at 18% annually so I suppose its a good way to make a LOT of money disappear in 5 years. This is about the only way I can comprehend it..... |

I am not surprised it was stolen and agree it looks like it was planned. I have spent three and a half years looking for an XA GT coupe that belonged to my father without hearing anything. I still have a $10,000 reward out to get it back. |
