From Rio Ferdinand on Twitter: "Going for a record transfer fee does have its pressures like expectations etc but my biggest pressure was showing my team-mates I was worth it in training. I was more nervous for my 1st training session than for my 1st game!" - Rio, you know you were absolute muck at the scum for at least your first two YEARS, don't you? Mind you....professional footballer, probably not.......

From ned1984 on Twitter: "Emile Heskey has been spotted at Newcastle. Though, to be fair, he was probably aiming for Middlesbrough." :rollingaboutlaffing: :rollingaboutlaffing:

Lipperpool supposedly make a £30M bid for Carroll from Toons.......They get rid of the sulk for £50M, and bring in the piss-head for £30 - shrewd bit of business there if it happens......

Neill Collins off to the Blunts? I liked him when I saw him play, like Naylor's son........Surprised we're seliing a 27 year old CB, although we do seem to have a few.

So we got rid of lots of deadwood... and brought in a... 'keeper.

Hmmmm... wasn't the obvious place I thought we needed to strengthen, but heyho.

More loan deals to come?

The pissartist finally signed for the scallies for £35m and sulky joined chelsea for £50m... this led me to a curious thought...

Are football players considered luxary items and are they subject to VAT???

20% of £75m = £15m. That could save some sports centers from closure, or employ a few more binmen!

Although even if it was due; I have no doubt that Gideon and Camelion will convieniently have left some loopholes so their multi-millionnaire buddies can avoid paying it.

The transfer fee is technically the buying out of a contract, only tax that is due is PAYE which is based on the wage, so more tax will be coming in from the increased wages they'll be paying but not VAT.

You may now go to sleep.

Yep nice to shift the dead weight of 5 contracted players and even if we did bring in a sub keeper we don't really need, we actually did ok.
