What are your best and worst moments of the past year?

I went to Germany for a lifelong friends birthday near Hanover, it had been a few years since we had last met
But typically Andreas and his family gave me a warm welcome, it was like coming home, I had a great time in great company
I decided to drive the vx all the way, which turned out to be a great choice, the little Vauxhall was great fun and ate up the miles
Showing a couple of Bentleys and the occasional 911, AMG etc the back end of the vx on the autobahn was fun too

Being at that last game of last season with my two boys and Dee of course. And the way we won the game, Beckford as captain, you couldn't have written a better script !!!
Going to the Boro game with my boys, my father and my brother. Even if my father and brother were sat at the home end.

My youngest started at college on a football course after a mixed time at school and he's loving every minute. It's great to see him enjoying life so much.
He started his own 7 a-side team for a bit of fun and they are doing well, he's also was asked to play for the 7 a-side team at work.

And I've spent a bit more time with friends in the UK this year and will be making sure that this trend continues.

And finally I moved from my place near Torquay harbour and have rented a place in the sticks on the edge of Torquay.
I have some nice neighbours, there are wild deer wondering around, buzzards, foxes, hedge hogs and the pub is 1 field away.

Next year I plan to see more of my friends and a trip to the Nurburgring is on the cards. As well as a few more trips to ER.
Have a Happy, Healthy and Peaceful 2011 all rebels and their loved ones

Have been really bust in work since August, which is strange after 10 years of it being quiet. Typical me to get it arse about face, the country is on its knees in a recession and I've never been busier! Nice to have Mrs F back from Oz in one piece, only 12 hours late. The boys are growing up too fast, but are becoming right bloody comedians......Nice to see the team in the play-offs and competing, I really thought we would consolidate this season, and expected no better than mid-table. Maybe Cap'n Birdseye will loosen the purse strings if he thinks we could have a chance at promotion? Suzanne must shirley have all the mink thongs she can possibly wear by now.....Sadly, Leslie Nielsen passed away, one of my favourite comedy actors. Solely responsible for no-one being named Shirley any more.
One of my favourite lines.....
"Frank: A good cop - needlessly cut down by some cowardly hoodlums.
Ed: That's no way for a man to die.
Frank: No... you're right, Ed. A parachute not opening... that's a way to die. Getting caught in the gears of a combine... having your nuts bit off by a Laplander, that's the way I wanna go!"

The recession biting hard, lose a much loved pet, shit at work with a malicious boss trying to sack me, threat to my 30 year accrued pension, money issues, Health problems - found myself in Hospital with heart problems, wife diagnosed with Brain tumour, and the subsequent operation and convalescence.

In fact, 2010, good riddance, you festering heap of shite

Was wondering what to say in response SOCBP but Fitz has said it for me!

I really hope you both have a complete recovery. Heart problems and the "big C" that's about as tough as it gets.
I was given a 15% chance of making my next birthday and a 10% chance of making the next 5 years, that was over 20 years ago.
I am deeply indebted to the lovely people at the Royal Orthopaedic in Northfield.

Work and pension I can identify with. I've given up caring, for me it's the best way to deal with it.
I've just let go. I no longer care if I own my home or not and pensions are clearly a complete rip off.
I've paid into 4 and non of them are going to deliver as promised, if at all.
And as I speak, wankers are figuring out ways of eroding them even further.
Invest in my retirement? Not by paying more into a pension, they can all feck off!

I hope 2011 see's a big change in fortune for you and your wife SOCBP

Cheers - Joanne is back to health now, and the tumour was benign, so hopefully gone forever.

Im still on drugs, but heart rhythm back to normal, so looks ok there.

Just need a lottery win, and redundancy, and Im all sorted :lolanimate:
