http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/8205297.stm I'm liking the new BBC coverage of L1 this season - far far better than the ITV/Virgin coverage last few years. Anyhoo... Some points having just watched the highlights/goals... The first half "penalty" - looked like a foul, but was outside the box. Possible red card for Rui too, but Kisnorbo was alongside so would have been harsh. Not sure about Grayson's claim it was offside anyway - looked like it was played back by JB, rather than through by their defender - and would have been tight and you can't tell from the camera angle. Beckford "kick" - for once looked like beckford was just trying to push the guy off from standing/kneeling on top of him. Would have been harsh red for me, but could have been made worse if everyone reacted like the walsall guy who ran 1/2 the length of the to stand over JB shouting at him and jabbing him in the ribs. The actual penalty - definate foul, stupid tackle - he was going no-where and was being flanked by Hughes anyway - so no need to dive in. Followed by two great goals to come back and win. Roll on tranmere - hopefully a more convincing scoreline to reflect our domination, but will be more than happy with the same result. Ohhh and huddersfield are flying - who expected that? I thought towards the end of last season and the begining of this that uddersfelt had signed some good L1 players so its not a shock to moi. However, lets put their 7-1 smashing into perspective, we hammered QPR 6-1 and got us nowhere and colchester put plenty past norwich on the opening day, and no one is tipping them to do owt this season.....marathon not a sprint and all that |

Good point - I was only going on what the tv and radio had said... EG on Yorkshire Radio mentioned something along the lines of "this is the first season in which huddersfield have a realistic chance of finishing above us"... that took me by supprise. |
