What do we think of the new loan signing Michael Doyle then?

Personally I had never heard of him before today but apparently he is a tough tackling midfielder.

Dee's a liar....
Looked at his stats etc, seems to be like derry just a bit more no nonsense. Bit of extra bite in midfield is good.

I'd never heard of him either, so quizzed some cov fans on him - they all seemed happy that they'd got rid, saying 'workhorse' was the nicest way to describe him and that he was a walking yellow card. On the back of yesterday's performance, I think he'll do quite well... hard tackling, breaking up attacks just in-front of the defence and always making himself available for short/easy passes out of difficulty. A bit like Batty, but more mobile.

not convinced by doyle yet i have to say. seems to disappear in the secind half of games. what worries me more is that it looks like grayson wants howson to fill delphs boots...and that's a million miles off happening.

one thing to come out of the first 3 games is that we desperately need a creative midfielder....whether kilkenny is capable of running themidfield without mincing is anyones guess....
