Least like you expect... 2005 !!!!!!!!!

during a strategic football conversation shorts and i had last night followed by a chat about the four floors of whores in singapore (somewhere neither of us has been of course) we discussed Jonny. seeing him during the blackburn game he played a batty type holding role leaving delph to be more attacking and seems to have fleshed out a little - taller - broader - faster. So do we think that is his best role battyesque and was he the victim of great first season less good second and hopefully a brilliant third ?? |

The naivety of starting a football thread on here.....tsk If Delph stays we need a minder for him - hot got involved in far too much bother last season and is a walking yellow card to those that know how to wind him up a little. He's our one really class player and should have the shackles of tracking back lifted (somewhat) to allow him to feed the strikers. |

Services to LUFC for putting up with a scouser!!!

Was discussing the pro's and con's of Delph with the Blond Lad after last Saturdays match, we both agreed that he could be a liability with tackles this season and could acquire a large set of points therefore missing games at vital times (seem to remember we had a number 17 like that once?). If he's not going to tone the needless tackles down then ship him out at the first decent bid that comes in for him. |

I agree that Delph needs someone to do the 'ugly' stuff for him but I wasn't there Saturday so I'm not sure how Howson played. What I do know is that he (Howson) gets into the box well and will chip in with his share of goals if allowed to get forward. |
