I'd deffo have liekd Douglas to stay but if finances dictate differently then who are we to argue, but the problem is that if they dictate he has to leave they are a cert to mean that Beckford will have to follow him and unlikely Cafu will agree terms either. |

We can always hope that finances dictated that it was either Douglas OR Beckford who stayed... ...tis a shame - I thought Douggie's played well at right back and was looking almost natural by the end. |

Hmm, never really knew what to make of Douglas, we didn't seem to lose many when he played, but I never saw him play too well, for Leeds or Ireland |

Think money was the issue with Douglas - shame as I thought me did well at full back. Can't understand why he is trying to keep Richardson!! In talks - Rather pay Douglas his wages and get rid of him. |

Douglas would have been on Championship money and we won't be held to ransom. My gut feeling is that Beckford will want too much so we'll sell him. |

Didn't want to see Douglas go There won't much choice in league one if he wants more than we can pay So he'll be playing in the Chumps next season |

I still got nightmares when Douglas and Westlake played centeal midtfield the year we went down to League 1.They were so crap I`ll never gonna forget it.(Or forgive them) It can`t be a problem finding a new right back.Douglas in that position is just average. |

Agreed, Douglas has been better than Frazer at RB. A new signing or give one of the yoof a cnance I reckon. |

Cafu lookis like they are gonna offer hima new contract for our right back problem i think we need to look elsewhere at last he has been at the club 10 years and has only played 176 games douglas was here for 3 and played 166 draw from that what you will. |

A lot of Fraser's time was spent behind Gary Kelly and Danny Mills though, so it's hardly fair comparison. I expected some 'big' players to leave, but Douglas did come as a surprise. I agree with Rich in that he will have been on too much for us, but I can't see him moving up into the CCC, which means another L1 team....and if he's going to another L1 team, then it's hard to see why we couldn't offer him a contract on reduced terms. Have there been any rumours about players coming in? Or anything about Sodje signing? I'm a little out of the loop, news wise, since I deregistered from waccoe in disbelief. I really, really hope Grayson will look to bringing a new GK in. With him loaning Flahavan, he can't be too confident in Casper. I beg that we look at Paul Smith of Nottm Forest. Golden Glove winner in L1 last year, he's being pushed out at Forest. |

Seeing as how my last post generated so much debate, I thought I would add to it. http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/leedsunited/Leeds-United-Sodje39s-free-to.5310203.jp Sodje not likely to come, going by that last paragraph. |
