Was wondering exactly the same when I bought it yesterday!!! He's on one more chance after the crap that was "Cell". Jonathan Connelly is taking up all my reading at the moment, but they can get a bit samey.

Well i think SK has moved away from the pure horror he used to write, and Duma Key certainly couldn't be put into the horror category, but i enjoyed it. Doesn't mean you will though lol!
I've enjoyed reading Simon Kernick's books of late, but once you've read them all, it can be really annoying waiting for the author to come up with another quickly when you like their style of writing!!

Just finished Duma Key. Best book from SK in a long time. Really gripping story, which made it very hard to put down.

Glad you enjoyed it too GWFP. When i saw the thickness of the book i thought this is either going to be a waste of good money or unputdownable, fortunately it was the last. Loved the characters, and think it would make a great film!!
