Would Revie have picked anyone from the modern era to replace one of his team? |

This is how the RD500YPVS would look if it were still made today

Ahhhhhhh, nope. Thats taking the modern era as of being now. From a few years back then yeah, sure. The Revie team of the early 70's may have been one of the best when compared to other teams of that era but they wouldnt off stood a chance against DOL's team of 2002. Training techniques, fitness and stamina are in a different stratosphere now. |

Training/Fitness/Stamina......or pure talent/guts/determination. The Don's side, every time. |

Training/Fitness/Stamina......or pure talent/guts/determination. Training/Fitness/Stamina will beat talent/guts/determination every time if there is a lack of training/fitness/stamina within the talent/guts/determination. Take a look back at the mid to late 90's early 00's concerning England's rugby team. Not skilful by any stretch of the imagination but they had Training/Fitness/Stamina in abundance and just crushed anyone they come up against - no matter how skilful the opposition were. Now I know that you cant really draw direct comparisons between football and rugby as the gulf between the best and the worst is more extenuated in rugby but England were beating everyone from New Zealand to my beloved Wales. They were boring but very, very effective. |

Services to LUFC for putting up with a scouser!!!

The only player I'd add to Revies team would be Batts - took no nonsense like the rest of Dons "family" - he'd certainly back them up when it got rough. Too many mercenaries in the modern game, talented yes but very lazy to even think about adding them in to a team that was pure Leeds United, very easy for players today to say they'd give their all for the club they play for - Revies boys would have died for the club!. These days I support the club and not players which I did under Revie (and I supported every single one of them) |

Martyn in goal and Batts, Gary Mac and Strach as squad players. Wilko's league winning side would have also beaten the DOL "loadsamoney" team. |
