... the rules with regards to clubs tapping up players. Spurs are not going to persue the matter of Berbatov being tapped up with the premier. Do you think he was, and shouldn't the premier league investigate it anyway. The rule is a farce, so why have it.

Bearing in mind he was having a medical before spurs said scum could speak to him, its pretty clear to me some rules have been transgressed.

Spurs, apparently, aren't persuing the charges as it is part of the contract with scum. IMO, if thats true, it makes Spurs as bad as scum.

If I remember correctly when Spurs said they will be reporting Scum to the PL, ManU said that it was a laughable charge.
But for them to insert the Claus in the deal that Spurs will not prsue it shows that there were some infringements.

On that Basis IMO, PL should be looking in to the transfer.

And Punish the guilty.

if a crime has been committed with regards the transfer, regardless of a fucking piece of paper, the PL should investigate...but as we all know...they wont

Funny, isn't it that when Real Madrid were after Ronaldo, SCUM were moaning that they were going to tell the teacher on them. Now that it suits them they're inserting clauses.

And that surprises you?

Long since caring about the way the PL turn a blind eye when it suits them - hopefully with all the stupid money that is being banded about the whole of the Premiership will disappear up it's own arse before we get involved with it again!

Dear Colin,

Thank you for your email.

The Premier League is able to act on matters such as this only when a complaint is received from a club. In this case no complaint has been made at this time, but if any club is unhappy with the conduct of another they have the opportunity to contact the League and ask us to investigate. If that happens then we follow a certain procedure, investigate and then act if it appears that a Rule has been broken. Please be assured that when we do receive such complaints they are thoroughly investigated and that the Rules always apply equally to every club. There may be plenty of speculation in the newspapers but we do not comment or act upon rumours or conjecture.

We hope this clarifies the situation for you.

Many Thanks

Communications Department

If ManU did no wrong and the charges were laughable why did they need clause inserting

only when a complaint is received from a club.

Presumably they could act on a complaint from any of the PL clubs then?

What about a complaint from a paying customer i.e us, about stuff like this? Oh yeah I forgot, our opinions don't matter, only our money.
