Just when you think nothing could get sillier in football then you learn that Man City have signed Robinho. I wonder what his advisers have told him? I know MC have just been taken over by someone with stupid amounts of cash but come on...... Man City!!! Crazy talk. Does anyone else think this move is a good idea personally for Robinho or am I on my own here? For Man City I understand its one hell of a scoop but its not like they have a particularly good squad or history. Or is history about to do another chelsea on us? |

It's a very good move for Robinho. He'll be getting paid a fortune, and if he decides he doesn't want to play for them, he'll go on strike like he did as Santos 3 years ago |

Unfortuntely, it is a good move for him. At the next rtansfer window, Man Cities new owners will spend over £100m guaranteed. It has got ridiculous now in the premiershit. It is no longer about who can pluck out the best new talent, it is purely about who can pluck out the richest new owners. I am starting to hope we never get promoted any higher than the championship as there is no longer any competition in the premiership. Not even a club like Arsenal will be able to compete this year unless the spend big. |

I *think* I heard Man City's owner say something like 'I want a squad of 18 players, all worth at least £30 million pounds" |

That was my first thought, he only saw the manchester part of the contract option and got carried away, signing be for he saw his error and SCREee.e..ee...med. And then thought "fooking 'ell, I thought I'd just signed for scummy united then"!! |
