Casper 8 - Seems his extra training for his kicking has worked, only one miss placed tonight. Kept us in the game as well at times. Richardson 7 - the usual scapegoat. Had an imaginery friend in front of him meaning he was out-numbered all night with no support. Not his fault. Huntington 5 - another below par performance. Lubo - 5 - as above, no command whatsoever. Johnson 6 - square peg, not a left back. Prutton 6 - square hole. Howson - 6 - below par. Douglas 0 - Lazy, pathetic excuse for a captain. Never rated him before but at the start of the season he was superb, however he's gone back to his worst. Seems he was wearing the same shorts as Beckford, the ones with the hands in the pocket. Stood around dictating the play no influence, and blamed others for his shit performance. Macca bottled taking him off above Prutton and Howson. Kilkenny - 6 - another square hole. Beckford 5 - same shorts as Douglas. Ankle injury meant he didn't even turn up on sky. Dougie 6 - below par, saved himself with the goal. Trevor 7 - Seemingly the only player who could see our faults, challenged across the park and got so irritated with the lack of creativity he went and played left wing himself. Carole 6 - not enough time. Hughes 6 - as above. Macca 4 - Stated after the game we only have one winger at the club, yet he decides to sit him on the bench. Insisted on a rigid formation that was wrong from the outside, 4 players out of position, and no creativity. 36,000 could see we had no width, yet he didn't change it. If we're going to play without a winger we might as well have 3 or 4 up top and make use of a bad situation. |

Bradley Johnson should be more like a 1 or 2...I know he's not a left back but he couldn't even do the simple things tonight. As for Kandol he's the worst player in the history of the world ever. |

Ref had a poor game IMO. The corner they subsequently scored from was a goal kick. We had three good shouts for pens, the most obvious was hand ball from a Prutton(?) shot. We were shit though, no width or pace. They had 5 men in the box for every attack, we had 2. Right-ho enough of the footy talk I'm off for a turf out. |

Would that be a belly of beer taking Morley :lolanimate: Kandol didn't really do anything apart from go for a header he completely missed that 'created' our goal. Half way through the first half I texted Spoony to say we needed Rui and Hughes on at centre back and left back respectively. Push Prutton across to the right and Johnson up to left midfield. That would have given us more midfield width (Prutton kept coming inside - even more than he does when on the right wing) and also added solidity at the back. Rui not playing is a joke - cutting our nose off to spite our face. He's clearly the best defender at the Club - fact, end of. Still, we did create a lot of chances as MDF said, I'm pretty sure we'll score there we just need to keep a clean sheet!!! MOT whatever happens. |

Cafu was left exposed at times as well Johnson at LB. Midfield was non existent. however, Cafu, even when he had time, was giving me nerves - he has never learned to pass it or hoof it away when needed - he looks to take players on in the most stupid of situations. Throwing backwards 25 yards out from your own goal, which puts your defender under pressure, who in turn puts Howson under pressure???? WTF is that about - I kill my U10 team for doing that. Then Howson, at 19, gets a bollocking from all around. Same bollocking Douglas seemed to be handing out to Howson for chasing a player down, when Douglas couldn't be arsed getting across to cover for him. Prutton was at least busy, but Carlisle showed us how to do it chasing us down from the forwards right back though the team. That 17 goal Danny Graham IS the same player that couldn't hit a cows backside with a banjo for us, wasn't it? Gary mac reckoned we didn't do it it in the final 1/3?? What fucking game was he watching. We didn't do it anywhere. Have to agree on Rui for either Lubo or Huntington, at least he has composure, the other two seem to be sparking panic amongst each other, same at Gills game. Kandol has the first touch of a combine harvester. Unfortunately he has the second touch of a 40' artic. |

This is how the RD500YPVS would look if it were still made today
|
Tis funny what we see during a game, isnt it. I thought that our weakest points were twofold. Johnson at LB, I think he forgot his legs as his feet didnt have a clue. The other BIGGIE was the lack of tracking back by our midfield when we lost the ball, which was a fair bit. I know our defence looked like a collander but a gently trotting back midfield isnt going to help sure up a suspect defence is it? Still, all wasnt lost. We passed the ball around well in patches and we pierced their defence a few times. If their goalie wasnt in such good form we may of had 3 or 4. All in all I think Carlisle just shaded it but it was only just. |

I thought the defense didn't look too bad, just woeful tracking back from midfield. Richardson was caught out - a lot, but he was left alone a lot too. I was at the game, and I watched it back on Sky+ when I got in to have a look at the penalty appeals, but I still couldn't tell you who played RM. The entire teams first touch was rank all night. 'Couldn't trap a bag of cement' springs to mind. Just think how many times a ball bounced of one of our players straight to Carlisle. I thought that Johnson, aside from the 1st touch disease, had a good game. His positioning was decent, he tracked back and Carlisle didn't create down the right. (Admittedly, he was playing Scott Dobie; a Striker playing on the RW). Ankergren - Adequate...not convinced on his positioning, still heart in mouth at crosses. 6 Richardson - Picked at RB, plays like a RM. Left exposed a lot, but badly out of position enough times himself. Right fucked up when disposessed for thier first. 4 Johnson - First touch deserted him, challenged well. Massive improvement to Gills again, but against a weaker opponent. I'm in a very, very small minority, but I think he could make it as a left back. (I don't suppose play-offs are the bet time to test this theory, mind). 7 Michalik & Huntington - Left exposed by a disappointing midfield performance. Dealt with high balls pretty well. 6.5 each. Howson - Didn't get into the game at all. Fannying around outside the box could have cost us a goal. 5 Prutton - Tried a couple of runs, put the yards in going forward, but no end product. Too often went sideways. Didn't much track back. 5 Kilkenny - Shuffled sideways, backwards, sideways. Didn't get any time on the ball, and failed to do anything with it when he had it. Seemingly made of plywood, far too easily knocked off the ball. 5 Douglas - Like Howson, didn't get into the game. We needed Douglas' tracking back and 'ability' to get the ball won around our penalty area. Too often found wanting, and watching the game pass him by. 4 Beckford - 'Hollywood' missed his big opportunity in front of the cameras. Had an excellent effort tipped away by Westwood, and fluffed a chance too close to the 'keeper when through. Looked upset to be taken off, which was nice. 6 Freedman - Seemed to on a different page to Beckford. S'all when and good him having all this footballing intelligence, but if he can't level with his strike partener then it means fuck all. Tried a bit too much for my liking, when it could have been kept simple. Kept on going, got a crucial goal. 6.5 SUBS Kandol - At least when Tres came on the long pointless shite hoofs forward became slightly more hopeful shite hoofs forward. Officially has a worse first touch than mine, caused problems with his presense, seemed to be desperate to score. 6 Carole - Bursts of energy, made Carlisle think a little. Not a great deal of time, would like to see more of him at Brunton. 5 Hughes - Came on, got angry, got booked, final whistle. If it wasn't for his altercation with the Carlisle player, 4mins stoppages, wouldn't have turned into 6mins though. 5 |

After reading all that, I just want to cry now. Rui and Kenton in Lubo and Douglas out I still don't believe that we actually managed to score at the end, though we did have some nice through balls at times and did have some cracking shots that would have gone in if their keeper wasn't as good. Oh and why was Trevor trying to shoot from 40 yards all the time? I hardly slept at all last night because of that game and I'm only going to get more and more nervous as Thursday gets closer. Does anybody have a tissue??? |

Very poor, we are better than that. The goal at the end at least gives us a chance. This season has been about fighting when down and out and this may help the players come Thursday. |

well last time i looked ben parker was at darlo.....not donny. i can fully understand why mcallister left parker at darlo. what i can't understand is why he didn't play the one player that's had a few games at left back this season. imho he's left parker there cos he's been out of the picture for so long but andy hughes has played a fair few games there this season. in fact his decision to play bradleeeeey there is as confusing as playing fraze there imho. we always look unbalanced when bradley doesn't play in left mid, and last night showed not only that this is the case, but that he aint a left back..... last night we were lazy and arrogant. carlisle outworked us in every department. we need to go there on thursday without thinking that we have a divine right to win the game. cba with player ratings. suffice to say i wouldnt pay any of them, and it MUST get better on Thursday. as has been said before, if we score first (and early) we will win, tho i've got a sneaky feeling it may well go to pens..... |

Watched the game again earlier, best bit of action came from NEL at 13 mins and 35 secons, young Reptile with his baloons giving it large, he had a small friend with him who was also getting quite excited, what do you mean that was his Dad? Reptile's uncle Garlic better watch out, there looks to be an up and coming whore, seeking media attention. |

really very nice person

That was his mate Ash.......Reptile was a star last night......helping Jimmy at Salters out filling up the chilled bottle bank outside too But on a different note, the landlord Jimmy....who is a geordie for his sins, said he felt that Carlisle would come and defend last night, get ten men behind the ball, and go all out at Brunton Park where they've got such a good home record Hell, he had such a good point that Macca had listened to him, unfortunately Carlisle didn't.....they came looking for a win, made fools of our back four, our midfield stayed in the dressing room, and god help us come thursday unless there is a complete turnaround! |
