I apologise if it did offend, i did want to raise the point that perhaps acquiring tickets from others is also going against the procedure, but then we have all done it. However, those who did apply early like myself were also doing so in good faith. I applied the middle of last week, after someone had said they had being told they were accepting applications now. I did so, and was told it would be "kept on file". Because of not many being aware of this i wanted others to be notified, hence why i posted it on here and elsewhere. It wasn't as if i was trying to slip through the net, i was simply applying in accordance with what the T/O had said. Like i say though, i applied at 10 as i have done for all other applications this season and ended up with a ticket, whether i got the ticket because of my early application or if i'd have got one anyway, who knows. What i would suggest mate, is that instead of you arguing the rights and wrongs of this with myself, you take it up with the rest of the SC and furthermore the ticket office and Harvey, who again has indeed made a cock-up of ticket procedures. You clearly feel strongly about it, so might as well channel the argument in the right direction, perhaps a pro-active SC would earn respect for doing this. Like you say, those who have travelled everywhere this year should be rewarded, but then if members weren't guarenteed a ticket or season ticket holders who could only do aways for which they could afford or those closer to home, you'd have a completely different argument. Personally i can't afford to travel every week, whether that means i'm 'less of a fan' is an argument for waccoe in my opinion. The fact of the matter is there are more than 1,600 deserving leeds fans, and there would always have being a disappointed few. Perhaps it's another argument entirely that you have 'contacts' who can hopefully ensure you get to the game, others won't be in the same position unfortunately. |

How would a loyalty scheme work? Steve, you got my ticket for Gills away so does that mean you would get the 'loyalty' points for going, or do I for buying the ticket in the first place? If I did, then that would put me 'one up' so to speak on the ranking system and in a better position to get a ticket for the next away game....which I could then sell on again, and again receive the 'loyalty' points. This would make sure that according to LUFC's system, I'm one of THE most worthy, yet I won't need to attend an away game all season to do this. All systems are flawed. There's no such thing as loyalty in football. |

Incorrect. Please don't tar supporters with the same brush as players. With reference to selling/passing on tickets whilst we all know that it happens the strange way that our tickets are sold (in batches in some cases months before the match) shall always create problems. And lets face it why would a supporter continually order tickets just to pass on? It makes no sense. It could also create potential problems for the original ticket purchaser if the supporter who uses the ticket then gets into trouble. |

A friend of mine. offered me a spare ticket for the away semi, but i turned it down because it would have meant going without my lad, which i felt was wrong. He like me was pissed off at not getting a ticket tho we applied properly and he has been to a lot more aways than people who got a ticket ,but there was no way i was going to kick him while he was down and go without him ...... |

It must be said that the loyalty scheme used by Leeds United before was mis-used by certain people and was not the answer. There were several people in our branch with higher number of points than me purely as the branch sec would use the first number he could get hold of. With them sending them to your house should have stopped some of that, but some improved system is needed. |

Loyalty for football (fans) is different to loyalty in football (players)...perhaps I could have worded it better though. I didn't say it would make sense, just that it could (and probably would) happen. It also makes no sense for away tickets to be a closed shop to those who can't get to every game. |
