I agree, we did much better then I had hoped.

If at the start I was given a place in the play offs I would have jumped to it.

Well done to the Lads. But Job is not done yet so another 3 games so need concentration and full effort is needed.

At the beginning of the season I had a feeling that we would have a good one, and I even went and bought the shirt inspite of the "red" bit on it confident that this would be a shirt to remember along with the Strongbow, Top Man and Yorkshire Evening Post shirts.

I'm happy with how things have ended up, automatic promotion would have been nice, but to have a chance at promotion with the points deduction when lesser penalties have without exception meant certain relegation gives me a sense of satisfaction, and that even if we are ultimately unsuccessful in the play offs, we will be able to crush this division next season.

My antipathy for Gillingscum and Scally remains steadfast but I do have respect for their supporters on Saturday who not only took the trouble to come up in reasonable numbers compared to some clubs, but also applauded our team at the end.

Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.
