Anyone been? Any sights/bars/restaurants/clubs that you can recommend?

Looking forward to the trip a lot, there seems to be a lot of history mixed in with a modern city. Plus will get to see AC at the San Siro. It'll be nice to see Maldini play before he dies.

I have been twice how ever both were relatively quick visits, hence unable to recommend bars etc, however our Myrtle can definately recommend the shopping.

It seems that there are a lot of people who don't care for it. It's a love or hate type city.

I am pretty sure I will like it, but you never can tell.

Mum and Dad went in the half term just a few weeks ago, they were due to go to Rome but the flights were cancelled so they decided on Milan instead.

They loved it for the history but went further afield to Lake Como for a bit more of a quiet holiday as they found Milan a bit busy... but then it was fashion week... which they didnt know until they got there.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it, I've never had a bad holiday in Italy.

Tis true didnt think of the place some nice buildings but the centre of milan is very dirty ,public transport is ok and the san siro looks like a multi story car park from the outside ,still each to their own wouldnt be in a rush to go back but as i say each to their own..

Can't wait to go to the San Siro, hopefully it will be a decent game as well. AC are going to be fighting for a champions league place.

I'm not bothered about things being dirty, Paris wasn't clean and Venice is an open sewer so that won't worry me. I just hope the history side of things is good. There should be plenty for me to see, although I won;t be able to see the Last Supper as they are booked til June!

Were there any clubs you could recommend? I hear the Navigli area is meant to be the best for nightlife.
