Just to clear up the stats, as I was doing it from memory...

Freedman scored just three Championship goals last season, when he made 11 starts for Palace and a further 23 as a substitute, and this campaign has yielded just one league goal from 17 appearances - 13 as a substitute.

So that's a total of 4 goal in this season and the last one, from 15 starts and 36 subs. I hope he fairs much better in League One! Willing to give him a chance but don't hold out a lot of hope.

Those stats are shocking!!! Why would anyone sign a player with sych poor stats? I cant understand why we would sign such an unprolific striker? It just does not make sense.

Bloody crap goal ratio. We let Constantine go to a team 3 points behind us without giving him a chance to prove himself here. He scored something like 26 in 50 games at Port Vale ffs!!!!!
Ah well what do the fans know eh?

Yeah fair comment Matt. I just think it's a mistake to let Constantine go to a close rival. He's always looked a threat when he's played for us.

From t'beeb

Dougie Freedman says the offer of regular football led to him accepting a three-month loan deal at Leeds.
The 33-year-old Crystal Palace striker had ruled out a move on Tuesday.

He told BBC London 94.9: "I just felt there was an opportunity to play some football, try and score some goals and try and get a promotion for Leeds.

"Then I can come back in the summer and say to Neil Warnock this is what I can do and see out the remaining year of my contract."

...the Crystal Palace hitman went on to say:

"Yeah, Leeds are likely to get a lot of press in the run up to the end of the season. If I can piggy back that and remind the cockney wideboys that I used to be okay, then I can return to Palace and sit on the bench for 88 minutes. Then I'll collect a massive pay off in the form of a testimonial. I'll be laughin' all the way to Marbella!"

From what we saw yesterday, if Dougie gets a run in the team he might just be the answer. He linked up with Beckford a couple of times. If he can last 90 mins he should start ahead of Kandol.

I am more than happy to admit that Freedman played well for the time he was on the pitch on Saturday. He was comfortable on the ball, didn't panic and looked to create chances for others.
