So it seems it has been passed to me to answer the next lot of questions... So here goes! 1. The Rugby World Cup starts this coming week and if by some bizarre twist of circumstances the Competition rules say that if France were to win it would mean that Leeds would be relegated to League 2 (actually I probably shouldn’t be giving Mahwinney ideas) would you still be hoping that the French would win? Most people here know that i'm the eternal cynic and HUGELY pessimistic when it comes to pretty much everything so I doubt that France will win the Rugby World Cup ((but I dont doubt that we'll come above England!!)) so I wouldnt have to worry about that. But... if it really came down to it, of course I'd have to see France lose and Leeds stay up - after all, I'm football first, rugby second. Toughy though... Good first question! 2. If you could be any character from a film who would it be and why? And in the opposite direction if a film were to be made of your life who would you want to play you? After watching it again today, I'd have to say I would be Amelie. I often drift off into a kind of dreamy / half consciousness, and think about how beautiful the world can be. Little things really make me smile, I like to make people happy. I'd be a combination maybe of Rita and the teacher from Educating Rita - the love for literature and getting lost in a good novel, really picking every tiny bit you can from it... I love that. With also a bit of the character Xavier from a french film called L'Auberge Espagnole. He's a French guy going to Uni in Barcelona - living with 8 people from different European countries. The mix of cultures really hits home in that. And for me to be played in a film.... Drew Barrymore - not one of those dumb blonde actresses, she has something to her, with a bit of that kick-ass attitude from Charlies Angels. 3. If you could Travel back in time to attend any Leeds United game so as you could see it live which one would it be? i'd like to have seen any game from the Revie Era - European final or something. to have experienced some of the highest highs Leeds United have had. Seem to have only seen the lowest lows so far... until now that is, obviously!! MOT 4. You are made Prime Minister for one day and in that time you get a chance to create one law what would it be.? hahaha... here comes the conservatism. I would highly adapt the immigration laws that we have in place - find out what REALLY is given to those who come to this country, all these rumours of cars, huge benefits and everything. ammend all that and put a quota on the amount of people entering the country, analyse their skills and what they can bring to this society. Yes, it is slightly Nazi-like but there really is too much "open-door" attitude at the moment. 5. If you were to appear on Mastermind what would be your specialist subject? I think.... maybe the Famous Five books!? I read them so many times as a kid - i think i probably know them inside out. Either that or the film Snatch... I dont know... thats quite a tough question mr hippo! Seems I dont know a lot about one subject... just a little about a lot! 6. You have the power to go back in history and stop the invention of some man made creation, what would you choose to stop being invented? Salad Cream. What a filthy, disgusting thing. Why, why WHY!? Whats wrong with a good traditional vinaigrette!? Instead you have to douse your salad with huge thick disgusting blobs of filth. 7. What has been the most enjoyable thing about being a uni student for the last year? Without a shadow of a doubt, the people I've met this year. Definately life-long friends and people I couldnt have survived without. Had some brilliant nights out drinking, road trips, hysterical moments and general good times. You know when you get a good group together that you can see sticking for a long long time - we've assigned stupid nicknames, running jokes and embarrassing stories to all... Pat - who resembles postmanpat, Bambi - because his mum got shot (or thats what we tell birds he's trying to pull anyway) Cube - becuase he's the same dimensions in height, width and depth, Wildman - because he's the quietest bloke you'll meet.... To name just a few! That and 80p vodka and coke and homemade cheeky vimto... 8. You appear on Ready Steady Cook. What would you have in the bag of ingredients that you are allowed to spend up to £5 on in the hope some famous chef turns into something delicious? Awesome question Rich!! Erm... Probably some advocados - my favourite things in the world. huge beef tomatoes, some spices, cucumber, and some sort of fish.... Swordfish probably. Bit over a fiver I'm sure but.... i'd get Sainsburys discount!!!!! 9. Where would be your perfect location for a summer holiday and where would be your perfect location for a winter holiday? Summer Holiday... Ideally Great Barrier Reef to go diving some more.. see the sights ... I want to see more turtles and sharks! Winter Holiday... Whistler Skiing. I love the snow, cant get enough of it :) nice outside saunas in the evening with beautiful scenery.... Perfect. And if I couldnt have either of those... a nice trip to Paris please - not been to France in way too long :( 10. Desert Island Discs - You have 8 songs, 1 luxury and 1 book that you can take with you to a desert island, What are they? Phonics - Nice to Be Out Oasis - Cigarettes and Alcohol Massive Attack - Teardrop Fratellis - Creeping up the backstairs Ian Brown - Dolphins were Monkeys Greenday - Time of Your Life Chillis - Scar Tissue Kate Nash - Foundations Luxury... maltesers.... 1 book - Wuthering Heights. I get more and more out of it every time i read it... brilliant. Its very sad, but also very hard hitting and also quite humourous as some points. With my long stay on the island I could write the best ever criticism of it the world has ever seen.....!!! Edit to say:Added a couple of extra bits on as I was in a bit of a rush when posting it last. Behold... who shall be the next victim.... concocting my questions now.... |

Good questions (eventually) and well fielded. Is it true people can actually be bothered to read the same book more than once?!?!?! |

I do it regularly. Some books you get more out of, the more you read them. Good questions and answers, but salad cream?? Is that the best you could think of? :lolanimate: |
