...with compliments

Dr Laim Fox, MP

David, A letter recieved from Lord Mawhinney at the Football League, (letter attached)

From the Chairman:
Rt Hon the Lord Mawhinney Kt

10th August 2007

Dr Liam Fox MP
House Of Commons
Westminster
London SW1A 0AA

Dear Liam

Thank you for your letter of 25th July about Leeds United. Since you wrote, events have moved on. Leeds United 2007 has now received its so called "golden Share", so it will be able to take part in League One in the season which starts tomorrow. The League's Board imposed a 15 point sanction on Leedus United. The club appealed this decision to other Football League clubs. This appeal was turned down Yesterday.

So, as Mr Pilkington requested, we have acted in the interest of both the club and the league. This resolves both the "situation" and the uncertainty.

Please excuse the fact this is being signed by my PA - I am out of the office for a few days.

Warm regards

pp Judi Broadhead

(I wish I had a scanner!!) So he is fobbing off MPs as well

I would have said:

"So this resolves fuck all, except that the hated ones will be lucky to survive the season, however, if any team of bastards can still turn around -15pts, it would be them hard nosed northern gits and their loyal, if not mis-guided, so called fan base (flower protest huwmph). Maybe we should increase it to -30 just in case.

Warm Regards"

That is an incredibly vague and limp reply and does Mawhinney absolutely no favours at all. What an idiot.
