When i moved here bought a cheapo desktop pc....Medion PC MT7 and its been running slower and slower and the fan working overtime. Got rid of loads of crap but memory still seriously needs upgrading.
Only running on 256 so need to upgrade to 1gb at least, but can i find anything by googling the model number ......nope......agree i'm a bit of a numbskull as far as pc hardware goes, but is there anything compatible i can use and where the hell do i find it?

Ta!!

ps sorry Cuppy, finally found the model number after practically stripping the thing apart :lolanimate:

If it is a Desk Top PC, I would suggest open the side Panel and take the memoru to PC world and they should be able to supply the bigger Memory.

Or I can reccomend my Brother's shop in Sale, Cheshire. :lolanimate:

You need to get memory code PC 3200, can take up to 2GB

Something like this?

Use these all the time, never had a problem. Do returns, goods arrive in a few days time.

Now leave me alone

Your motherboard will probably be a MSI MS-6701, in which case it will take DDR PC3200,DDR PC2700,DDR PC4000 with a maximum of 1GB per slot.

Was going to suggest the same website. I think they do a scan of your system to tell you how much it'll cost too.

I would add, before buying memory, to check whether the memory has to be arranged in matching pairs, otherwise it might not work.

You expected to become wiser by talking to Cuppy?what a novel idea.....

Have you still got the manual for the PC? Should tell you if you need to use matched pairs.

Crucial should tell you.

They usually have a FAQ section on the page showing compatible memory for your computer.
