Jeez dawta, can't you make 'em easier next time ffs!!! 1. You have the ability to change one thing. One thing that will affect the future, be it big or small, what is it and why? Very contentious and moreso for a first question, but I would bring back capital punishment. We allow too many to get away with too much, there is no deterrent…..prisons are holiday camps where inmates learn more about how to commit crimes than they do how to re-establish themselves as honest citizens. So shoot me, its my question/answer time. 2. If you could go back in time to one point in your life to relive it one last time. Where would you go? It would be the latter half of 1969 and the first half of 1970……it was the time I met my first husband, who I’m still friends with, and his friend, who became my best mate too, it was the time I lost my virginity (stop adding up those of you who know how old I am), I LOVED the music of that time too……it was probably the most memorable twelve months of my life. Hey just recall the music Thunderclap Newman In the Air…Beach Boys I can hear music, Edison Lighthouse, Love Grows where my Rosemary Goes, Tommy Roe, Dizzy…….yeah ok you can stop laughing now!!! 3. Name 3 things that no one knows about you… 1. I used to play the cornet in the Salvation Army Band. 2 .I played flute up to Yorkshire Schools Orchestra level (actually one reb knows I played the flute cos they do too..no not THAT kind of flute you pervy lot!!) 3.This isn’t my real hair colour…………yeah I know it had you lot fooled!!!! 4. You’re asked to build a new rebel using aspects of the current ones, what would you take from who? (eg- your hair, X personality etc..) Well Mal’s hair, GB’s devastating good looks, SC’s dress sense, Kirst’s drinking ability, Laura’s hugs, Cuppy’s wit, WW’s parenting skills, Kev’s sense of humour, Daz’s holidays, Shorts perversions, Rich’s ability to avoid buying a round, and Morley’s ability to get pissed on 5p, Northernwhites navigating skills 5. You’re the prime minister, what’s the first thing you do as you do as resident of number 10? Change the décor to blue white and yellow…….WE ARE LEEDS!!!! 6. Your favourite rebel memory. Well there have been many many great rebel times, so I’m going to have to give you two……….and starting with the second……….it is actually my first meeting with a rebel, it was very poignant. As a newbie I’d arranged to meet Boycie at the John Charles Memorial service. It was a very very moving service and when the hearse moved off the pitch to the strains of MOT, I guarantee you there wasn’t a dry eye in the place. It was pretty amazing as well as sad. As we walked back to Billy, there were two guys looking at the wreaths and one said ”wonder who put the Wrexham whites wreath there” Well I guess only a reb would know so I said “she did” pointing to Boycie……the guy said “are you Dee then?” aye, it was you Rich, and Karl ov Kippax (retired now!!) The favourite, again is morbid in a way……..and it was when me mum died…….it was the first time I realised what a family the rebs were……..i had flowers, cards, phone calls, texts….i never realised so many people cared y’know? And……Mugsey……I love you…….the day of mum’s funeral, just waiting for the hearse to appear, and he txts wanting to know if we got Matty Spring on a free, cos he had a bet on with Alan…..when I told him yes, he wanted me to google it cos he had a 100 euro bet ridiing on it…….i said its not a good time now, so he actually rang me……I goes, err look sean sorry but its me mum’s funeral, and we’re just waiting for the hearse, it really ISN’T a good time…….he was embarrassed, but as I’ve said before mum was the biggest leeds fan and I get my wicked sense of humour from her, she would have LOVED it!!!! 7. You can hook your best friend up with a celebrity for one night, and one night only. Who do you set them up with and why, and where would you send them? Well suddenly my bestest friend is Northernwhites and I would hook him up with Jade Goody for a night in a romantic hotel, four poster bed, soft music and candles…..oh yeah and I’d take the handle off the inside of the room door and lock it!!!! Mwahahahaha!! 8. Your most treasured LUFC memory. Again so many to choose from both good and bad, I’m finding it really really hard to pick one so I’ll come back to this in a while!! Again I think its going to be a morbid one……a sign of the pulling together…..the ups and downs. I’ve been lucky enough to be at the two FA cup finals,two League Cup finals and the European Cup Final, as well as games like my first which was when we beat Lynn Oslo 10-0, but to see how fans from all clubs joined in our mourning of Chris and Kev….to walk up and down and see the scarves shirts and tributes from so many clubs that we’ve hated over the years, all joining in our grief…kinda brings it home to you what the beautiful game is all about eh? You go to watch a game and....... 9. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life what would it be? Oh dead easy this one….my childhood favourite which I still eat when I’m in a rush or can’t be arsed, cold Heinz baked beans and a couple of slices of bread and butter!!! 10. You’re stuck in an empty room for 24hours with one rebel. Who do you choose and why? (And you cant take anything in there with you!) Hell, I can give you a list of who it wouldn’t be……..but it would definitely be Shorts…..we have so many tales to tell each other LOL Err reading back on this it doesn't sound so happy jolly does it? But oddly even the sad memories are very fond ones!!! Maybe i should get out more? |

Only just had chance to catch up with this thread. Excellent Q&A. I think the whole 'ask me a question' series has been great. We should turn it into a book. Seriously, have had tears in my eyes from piss funny relies to genuinly sad stories and emotional times at LUFC. |
