Not sure if anyone has any thoughts on this or not but do you think the UK should convert to metric or keep using a mish mash of metric and imperial systems? There can be arguments for both sides, but I do wish we would make our mind up already. It isn't good for children as they learn different parts of each system.

I think its about time we embrace Europe and became part of it once and for all.
All the do gooders wailing on about losing our culture are so blinkered that they dont realise we've practically lost it already - and not to europe but to america.

Bring in the meter, kilometer, kilogram and litre along with the euro...... anyway, saying ive got 150mm sounds much better than 6 inches :lolanimate:

as long as they are willing to serve litres for the same price as pints then i am in.

but in all seriousness i think that the two can co-exist without causing too much hassle to anyone.

It does apparently cause a lot of money to be lost each year though by using the different measures. It also isn't good for children to be taught metric in school but then have people use different measurements at home.
