Just been discussing this with a mate, mine were Tony Dorigo (both left footed, I used to pretend to be him in the back garden!), and Jon Newsome - what a player! Obviously Strachan, Mcallister and Chapman....and I also loved a bit of Steve Hodge.

We won the league in my first season, what a let down the other 15 or so have been!

i loved speed and batty as they were the oiriginal leeds boys to come through the academy and liekd all of our home grown talent after that, had mucho respect for Kelly as he was from just down the road and shares me birthday & birthplace.

Apart from Leeds players i loved Van basten and maldini two legends of the game.

..and I also loved a bit of Steve Hodge.

I'd keep quiet about that if I were you.

Tony Currie for me. Lovely hair, lovely goal against Southampton. Shame his wife wanted him to move to London.

Kevin Hird was also a favourite.

Paul Madeley - So under-rated. No wonder he was called the Rolls-Royce. Hard tackler, great vision, great passer, great header - played all 10 outfield positions for Leeds.

Great player, great chant. Not sure he was my all time fave (probably PL) but happy memories of school yard footy at Fir Tree.

Yes AW, I was there in 1968.

Radebe, always will be.

good call, although he was a bit of an unsung hero amongst the big signings like ferdinand up until the last couple of seasons. Watched Lucas' testimonial video earlier, forgot how good a day it was.

did they not put him goal in one of the testimonials so that he could say he had played in all 11 positions? might be wrong just seem to remember that for some reason.

jonny giles for me.

Currie was pure class

Jasper sweat blood for the club. Not the best player ever, but the heart of the team at that time. Stayed after we were relegated - always remember the Brighton goal, and a hum dinger against Cambridge United on a Friday night.

Eddie Gray, as a kid.......then Tony Currie, agree with all that's been said about him, smashing guy too outside of the game.....went to a testimonial cricket match in Hunter's testimonial year, Currie gave us all such a laugh, not a bad cricketer either!!

Nobby Stiles brother-in-law, can't remember his name? but he could pass the ball diagonally the length of the pitch and land it on a sixpence (that's just over 2p in the new fangled money)

Nice to see you managed to narrow it down to half a dozen.

Tony Currie for me anorl. Duncan McKenzie was a close second because I used to have a signed programme with him on the front. Gawd knows where that went though?
