The Zutons were on Live from Abbey Road - Superb set of 3. Really look like they enjoy what they do. The sax player is ahubbahubba.......legs that go on forever

Flicked around then and found Amy Winehouse live on the Sessions prog on t'Beeb. How disappointing is she live? Looks totally ill-at-ease IMO. Did her own hits way too fast. Had only read a review in the Irish Independent on Thursday which said it was passionless, too fast and done like she wanted to get it over with. Mrs F, who is a huge fan of AW already, reckoned she was glad I hadn't got tickets for her Dublin show. So was I, TBH. I bloody hate it when artists change their songs for live shows. Was a huge fan of Prince down through the years, until he played live in Cork. He had this big heap of a backing singer catterwauling away to everything, and he turned everything into a 15 minute guitar solo. Swore never to go to a gig of his again after. Mrs F went to him in Dublin after ( I staunchly refused) and he had cut out all that shit, and was brilliant. Why they feel the need, I don't know. Anyway back to AW, she seemed in her own little world, slurring words along - I thought she was pissed, but when she was talking to the audience she was fine. Her live stuff is a lot more "jazzy" than it is on the album. I couldn't understand why anyone put her into the jazz category, until I heard that live set. Does a not bad version of The Zuton's "Valerie" as well, though.

Heard the Zutons live last year when I saw The Who. They did a 45 minute set and the crowd were well entertained - The Flaming Lips were also on the same gig, weird but fun band.

Playing well, key personnel on their way back from injury, and crucially we had a bit of luck for once in the dying minutes of the game on Saturday.

but at least vwe are getting nearer to safety both on this thingy and in real life, but i should try and curb my enthuasism as everytime i reckon we are gonna get there we go on and lose the next 2-3 games which we just can't do anymore this season.

No problem mate, its just some peoples signatures are not really work friendly. Specially when one is trying to pretend to do some work. :lolanimate:

Strange thing about her.....A thread on WACCOE age ago said how fit she was. Googled her ( ooer matron) and she was nothing to write home about. Saw her "live" for the first time on the Royal Variety performance, and she looked great. I reckon she's not "photogenic", but looks really well in the flesh. Strange, innit?

So what is wrong with Ann, she stands for all that is good with a work force.. In fact she speaks regularly on the productivity of happy workers, and by god does she keep me happy..

After Sheffield Wednesday I was sure that we were down but after seeing the performance that the boys put in against Luton I think we can stay up. We will have to put in solid performances from now on though and the boys haven't been able to do that all season. Kishishev fills me with a lot of confidence. Midfield is where we have been lacking all season and he gives us a lot of options as does Cresswell. We will stay up.

I would like to argue that she is photogenic enough....but my thoughts seem to be elsewhere at the minute, far, far away from arguments.....
